Campeonato de los Andes 2016

The 1st part of the tour will be in Bolivia around La Paz, the stages are not very very extreme but hard enough to prepare the riders for the 2nd week of commpetition in Peru which will be much more hilly.

1st day a prologue of 6km arround a small village, at the end the road go slightly down in some dirty roads :

2nd stage, the riders will immidiatly attack the hills, 246km of effrots going up and down with 6 cathegorised climbs, mintact is at km 202 :

3rd stage, 177km with only one difficulty at the end of the day, a long climb but not very hard and endup with a flat part, mintact at km 131 :

4th stage, an easy 184km hilly stage that end up in a 6km hill at 7.3 % average, mintact starting from km 161 :

5th stage, a 218km flat stage where gc contenders will relax and watch a morning group winning it, mintact the last 15km :

6th stage, another relaxing flat stage but with 249km, mintact km 230:

7th day, the death road is back, the riders will cross 2 diffuclties before el camino de la muerte at the end of the 220km stage, mintact is at km 171:

Day 8 is a rest day, riders will fly to peru to attack the 2nd week of competition with 6 hard stages and a hilly itt at the end of the tour, presentation will follow later...let's discuss the 1st part now, if there should be some changes or a lot of changes

After the rest day riders will be transfered to Peru to start the second part of the tour



stage8, 234km high mountain stage with 4 hard climbs, last 10km are flat, mintact starts at km 197

stage9, short stage 179km with a mountain top finish, mintact km 143

stage12, 175km only but few flat kilometers up and down all day with 2 hc climbs at the end, mintact from km 82

stage13,hilly 20km time trial

last stage, after a short transfer to Lima after the itt riders will compete in a hilly circuit with some dirty roads. the race is 185km long mintact starting from km156
