Elmos Fantasy Races

Post by Elmo-Tours » Sat Apr 04, 2026 1:09 pm

Cheers,
Elmo

1) I was unsure what was meant by "description."

2) The minute intervals (current km 139) could also be set later (at km 144). I thought that since it's a fairly short race and there might be opportunities for attacks on a -7 descent, this could kick off the finale.

3) One request: I would be happy if the race could be scheduled for a day when I can also participate. Since I plan to ride all the tours in April and May, it would be great if it could take place on a day when there isn't a tour scheduled for me, and perhaps with a day's gap before and after, so that my small team could potentially show up as the 'home team' and give it their all. :)

Cheers,
Elmo

Hello Elmo!

First of all: Fantasy One Day Races just get a Category 1 (there are a few expections but always set 1 there)

1) Just what is displayed in the calendar table. You can leave it empty or put in hilly as you did thats ok, if there is some interesting info about it its the place to put it, e.g.: if its from a historic route, or is a famous amateur race etc.
2) Mintact is fine (using odd numbers there makes sense, as km 1 is a possible min tact start but km 2 not, it works otherwise too, just the display is being wrong)
3) I know that's what most new designers prefer (being able to ride their race) but the decision is up to the fantasy calendar planner (cataracs in forum). During the real season, there are not so many spots for fantasy races, but those are usually chosen to have a good mix of flat/hilly/climb/pave/ITT races. As the previous fantasy calendar planner, I tell you not to expect that those wishes will be considered. Simply because it is impossible, we search for fitting profiles in fitting regions and spot them in the calendar. Best thing to be able to ride your races frequently is to design more :D

PS: you see that the labels in the beginnig and towards the end dont fit on the profil, you can put them some km later or earlier to avoid that. But in general looks like an interesting profile

Odd Numbers are on the full minutes anyways? So mintact on odd kms doesnt make sense. The Mintact then still starts on the next even km.

So if you set mintact to km 3 it will be on xx:01:00 but it would be there anyways.

Mintact in km 4 would be on xx:02:00 instead of xx:01:30

So setting it on 3 or 4 is just the sane in game.

And for Elmo, Profile looks good a lot of money on the road which is fine sometimes, but maybe shouldnt be like this always if you intend to design more.

Ok maybe we are seeing this different. And now I am also confused because I dont even know what happens with mintact on even numbers, is it really not at 1:30 then? If you put it on odd numbers at least it doesnt confuse me
