I complain about missing races!
Tour of Belgium. 12-16th.
And that's the problem... moved from May, during the Giro, to June. Now overlaps with both Dauphiné and TdS. So with our numbers here... very hard to put in. Luxembourg-Belgium-Slovenia would be possible to ride, but not Belgium and either TdS or Dauphiné. To me just seems too risky to put that in. Would need 3 editions? 2 probably not enough, 4 seems too many.
If anybody thinks we have the numbers for it... we can try, after all we have a decent amount of Belgians here, maybe they want to ride their home tour.

Agree with the numbers we are here... But 1 edition, exclusively for Belgian would be perfect

Only option I see is putting Belgium later, starting 24th or 25th

Clearly not ideal, but I would also suggest this

Lux, Dauphine and the 1day race of Lugano are overlapping? I know generally not a good idea to move races, maybe here we can make an excemption?I am afraid it could happen that there will be 0-1 teams for the 1day race on this day, since it is cat.2 maybe move it?

Aaah, monthly pavé races! Good thing Luques hasn't finalized then yet! Even if he should have, grrrr!!!
How does: 4th: flat pavé
28th hilly pavé
sound?
In the meantime
Plumelec Morbihan done. Will do Boucle de l'Auln and Köln tomorrow. And start putting stuff online then too.... hopefully until then Luques finalizes.. if not I'll just assume that the preview now is final (even if by now I think 3 Lux editions would be enough...)

My fault, brought the discussion a bit too late on the forum and people therefore reacted late.
As for me everything can be finalized, Belgium too late to insert I guess, would need a poll at least.

Ventoux dénivélé challenge.
On their site it says "start GPM", "top GPM", but there seems to be no mountain classification after all, so a bit mysterious. So just simply put cat 4 on the places they have this non existing (maybe) GPM.
On later

There is no GPM
ARTICLE 11: CLASSIFICATION
The following classifications will be established:
The overall ranking of the Mont Ventoux altitude challenge (ranking established according to the order of arrival).
The ranking of the best young – "Trophée LAPIERRE" (ranking established according to the order of arrival concerning runners born from 01 January 1994).
The prize of the most combative – "public Prize" (Prize awarded by the jury of the UCI Commissioners at the end of the event).
To participate in the general classification of the event, any competitor will have to finish the event.

Will do Hageland (pavé, the question is how much) and Elfstedenronde (probably with * pavé) tomorrow and put on, then parallel program to TdS and Slovenia should all be on too.
Remains to be done: National Championships. June there's the real ones, so I guess (but Luques needs to confirm) that real ones would be better than the robot doing its thing.

Hageland, tried to check the pavé, mostly dirt road except the Citadel thing, that one a clear *, dirt went for * too, which is what we mostly have for dirt roads.
Elfstedenronde. Lots of pavé, didn't check with google street, just believed la flamme rouge that it was all *. And ignored the 100 and 200 and 400 meter etc long ones,

Question to Luques:
Do you want real national championships? Normally used to be yes, but since the whole thing is becoming more unstable (if I understand everything correctly) is it still ok? With putting it online etc.
I have time to design a few, but well, if it then can't be put online...

I continue to be anti odd start times. 11h, 12h, 13h, 16h, 17h is odd. Maybe even 24h is odd. Has anybody ever said, that they can only ride at any of these times? I don't believe so.
Look at Slovenji. 2 teams at 12h. 3 teams at 24h.
Ok, thanks for the ridiculous money in there.... but please, please, please don't use these start times for Tours anymore. As soon as we have 1,000 active players, ok, please re-introduce odd times for Tours. But for now, please don't.

Odd times according to Gipfel.
First let's be clear. You demand ZERO tours at those times, right?
11-12-13-16-17. Maybe 24
January:
11: 7 teams, below average, but ok
24: 4 teams. bad
February:
11: 3 teams. Bad
16: 7 teams, ok
24: 4 teams, bad
March:
12: 2 very bad
24: 6 ok
April
11: 7 teams
17: 6teams
24: 7 teams
May:
17: 5 teams
17: 1 team
June
12: 2 teams
24: 3 teams
In 6 months
3 tours at 11: 7-3-7 participation: I see no reason to go down to 0 here.
2 tours at 12: 2-3. I see a reason to go down to 0 here. Should be no more 12h stage races in the next 6 months, if one is in remind me.
0 tours at 13: Wouldn't rule out having one in the next 6 months. Or 0
1 tour at 16, 7 teams. If anything more, not less of that...Can have 2 or 3 in 6 months.
3 tours at 17h: 6-5-1: Again, not bad enough to go to 0
5 tours at 24h: 4-4-6-7-3: 5 seems to many in retrospect, should diminish, but go to 0?
It's 9 stage races, or 14 if you include 24h,
From January to June seems we have exactly 100 stage races.
20 of those had 5 or less teams. 5 of the 9 "odd times", 3 of the 5 24. And 12 of the main times.
No guarantee I counted right, mistakes possible, even likely.
Agree with no more tours at 12 for this year. And 13 isn't really needed either ,but if one slips in not the end of the world.
For the rest post some numbers, 2018 for example to convince Luques (seems too busy to be convinced in any way though) me and the rest that it should go down to 0. Or then object when the preview comes online, if there is a 11-12-13-16-17 (24) in it.

Ok, thanks for doing the math, Roby.
Probably my ambition - to target about 10 teams in a race - is too high. So if it's not 10 on average, I'll probably have to live with that. But I would never declare a 6-team-race as OK. For me that is already bad.
Again, even with the best calendar planning ever, you cannot repair that there is a lack of players. That is for sure not the responsibility of the calendar planning.
But my question is not only in absolute numbers, but in relative. Would 10h ever perform worse than 11h/12h/13h? Would 14h/15h ever perform worse than 16h/17h? Would 24h ever perform worse than 22h/23h? These hypothetical questions are more difficult to answer as you never really know... But I have never read from any player or seen any player behave, such that they can only ride or that they prefer any of these odd times. If we had many, many players, of course would be different.
With respect to Luques: Yes, seems very busy unfortunately. Nothing about July and TDF yet.
