So as usual February is full of Tours, and we will have also the CN. For CN a good date seems to be 12th of February but open to proposal.
At beginning of the month there are 4 tours in //, so one too much that could be moved after, or not played at all.
In centre of the month I would say skip Costa Rica that has the lowest ranking and move Haut Var as usual. At end of the month, Abu Dhabi sure, Kuurne - Bruxelles too, maybe there is space for Alentejo or Langkawi (or nobody of the two).
The formula 3 +3 +3 for tours in parallel used last year, we can use it again, seems it worked somehow.
Suggestions, criticism or everything else let us know!
I will design as usual italian races.

An early idea about categories and times might be helpful too, but ok, it's early. Categories so that we (I) can still react, if I see something I dislike.

+ Dubai from January.
Why stick with 3+3+3 if 2+2+2+2 might work as well? Or 3+2+2+2? Move as few races as possible.

I don't like much the idea. In my opinion giving more tours but less editions will just raise the number of people complaining that the tour is not available at the time they want.

Anyway, with 10 days without any tours, we can definitively put some tours later/before

5th stage should be a mountain top finish according to the Homepage of the race.

the alentejo's organization hasn't revealed the profiles yet, i could use the last year's routes but the problem is that last year there were only 5 stages and this year there are 6

Nice to play all real races.
Maybe they are too much and we could do some less important tour next month when we haven't so many tour.
And I don't think do 4 tours in first week and 1 in second is the best decision, maybe better 3+2.

This is basically the only point, I am not against anyway try for one time this formula. And also Tropicale overlaps for one day with Paris-Nice and with Strade Bianche, so I am for cancelling it.

Going to try 3-2-2-2 after all? Cool!
But the times right now somehow not perfect.
10-14-16-18-19-19-21-23-24
Especially the 18-19-19 thing looks weird. IMO the 20-22 time slot should at least get 2, maybe even 3 tours. Ok 2 probably, but including Dubai, that being the "most important" one.
Costa Rica: In the wrong spot and not sure if you can find the profiles. But ok, to calm the tempers of the people who can't live a week without a tour why not. But: NOT category 2. Good example why following the UCI is not a good idea. It's 2.1., yes, but that doesn't make it as important as Bessèges (highly unimportant) etc. It's 2.1 in the America Tour, which in the end is not the same as 2.1 in Europe. Participation will be mostly north/southamerican, no European teams, prestige is around 0. Clear category 1.
Oman-Algarve-Ruta del Sol: Times look better on that one. Although something doesn't fully convince me yet, but can't find a good solution either, thinking
Alentejo: Don't see why it has to start earlier than in reality. Then overlaps with Het Nieuwsblad? So be it.
Then reality allows Haut Var followed by La Provence. At c4f it becomes impossible. Should stay possible. If you move back Haut Var, then move back La Provence too.

Well we talk a lot about overlaping tours but not about overlaping one day race. Why don't make 2+2 or 3+2 too or 3+3 ? Why one day race must suffer of the abundance of tours ? Let's overlaping Alentejo, Abu Dhabi, the Belgium opening Week-End and Boucles Drôme-Ardèche if we really want to try it that way.

Following advices here and there, some modifications have been made to the calendar that will be online soon. The 4 tours now have all different times, if we don't find Costa Rica for 2nd week Filipinas may enter. Alentejo stays there just as a gift to the portuguese community, Provence and French classics moved forward.

Yes still some tour to insert but yes, that was the debate of the month. In any case you will have Besseges, Valencia, Herald and (soon) Abu Dhabi so every time is covered.
