I do not think we need stage races where top teams are not allowed in the real season (UCI cat. 2.2) . The calendar is already densely packed. Additional races will also make fields weaker. There are so many nice tours that are important in reality, and do not forget the beautiful one day races.

Mmm... It could be that I could do Gent-Wevelgem!

Thanks Radunion. I sign this.

Nokere Koerse too me looks the same as in 2012. So 2012 profile should be ok.

Hi,
I read that Murcia is only a stage race on 23.02 this year. http://www.vueltaciclistamurcia.com
Will there still be another tour during Langkawi?

I assume you meant it's a one-day race this year ;).
And there's Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen parallel to Langkawi (ok, only on the last two days). But I don't think there's a need for more tours as there are quite a few excellent one-day races.

I think the Giro del Lazio, Roma Roma for us, Roma Maxima in reality now, should be cat 3. RCS can call it what they want, it's still the Giro del Lazio!

At least we should stay with the name for having the historical results, if it's the same race.

All very similar to last year. Distances are kind of a mess though. Gazzetta at times gives different distances in different places as well...
All very similar to last year
1 exactly the same
2: Different finish circuit, completely flat unlike last year.
3: Different finish from last year, harder, but no 6, lots of 5 in the end
4: Same finish as 5 last year, slightly harder mountain before this time.
5: Lanciano-Chieti, same combination, different roads between. No small climbs between Lanciano and Chieti, but then the finish is harder 10 9 -2-3-4 12 3 this year.
6: Only completely new stage... but character similar to last year. They take a ridiculous short 27% road somewhere, turns out a 10% (twice) 8% (once) with the flat slighly downhill approach.
7 Same as 12

Longish mintact on stage 5, bottom of Passo Lanciano, the rest mostly 30km (don't really remember though)

DDV and RVV will come until wednesday for sure, E3 might take longer.... Thought to remember that they had a downloadable gpx track on their site, can't find it this year, so still have to track that shit (the 2 others are tracked, just need to put them on which takes ages too) Will try to finish E3 before the end of the month too, but no guarantee. De Panne... Very very likely march for that one..

They slightly changed the road of Gent-Wevelgem. I mean it's 3 km longer and the final road changed... but not the spirit (it will stay quite flat! So you can already put the profile of 2012 on the calender and change it when I'll be over with drawing, as the changes will be quite small and without consequences on the race spirit!

More details in the belgian classics thread (not much more info really...)

RVV should be ready tomorrow.

Volta a Catalunya:
http://www.voltacatalunya.cat/ca/notici ... 02-15/112/

Nothing more to be found there yet.
But stage 3+4 are mountain top arrivals.

De Panne: Of course they had to change the stages a bit, but the "spirit" will stay exactly the same. Doubt will finish it before the 28th, but will be veeeeery similar anyway.
