Edith: correction: And I hope you won't have the time to do it. No need to clog the calendar with another fixed tour. Which then takes away possible places for nice (edit 2 and maybe sometimes not so nice ones too) new tours like Crimée, Kerala, New Zealand and Abruzzo (ok old), Guyane and 100anni compilation.

That's not a fixed tour, just a proposition of Estérel v2.0 !
And, I already did 4stages last month, I just have to finish it. And if you don't want it as Tour de L'Estérel, I can change the name

Is there room for Vuelta al Tachira 12. - 23. ?

(as long as they release the profiles in time and we find somebody to draw it)

Ok, we have:

01/01 GP Letzebuerg RSF Classic same profile as last year?

12/01 - 23/01 Vuelta al Tachira 2.2
17/01 - 23/01 Tour de San Luis 2.1 maybe we chose San Luis over Tachira, don't we?

18/01 - 23/01 Tour Down Under PT AUx said he draws it - what's the problem with stage 2?

22/01 H. H. Vice President Cup 1.2 no profiles yet. guess it's pancake flat. but who knows. not so important. but if we get the profiles we could well ride it
23/01 Emirates Cup 1.2 ~ " ~

23/01 - 01/02 Tour de Langkawi 2.HC boring profiles, but a growing race of growing imprtance. nonetheless overlaps with Sachsen + Bongo and some others. Do we need it?

25/01 Dubai Grand Prix 1.2 see Vice President + Emirates Cup

25/01 - 30/01 La Tropicale Amissa Bongo 2.1 we still have no gravel roads implemented. So skip it again? Div 5/6?Then we could do Langkawi.

26/01 - 30/01 Tour of Wellington 2.2 not so imprtant, is it?

26/01 Ras Alkhaimah Grand Prix 1.2 see Dubai

28/01 - 06/02 Vuelta Ciclista de Chile 2.2 overlapping with Sachsen, Besseges, Calabria. Not very important race. But no need to be ruled out categorically.

28/01 Mumbai Cyclothon 1.2 see Ras Alkhaimah

29/01 - 02/02 Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria 2.1 no profiles yet. overlapping with RSF Olympics + Besseges. How to deal with it?

30/01 Tour de Mumbai II 1.2 what's that?

30/01 GP d'Ouverture La Marseillaise 1.1 must be

Amissa Bongo is all on paved roads from what I remember.
Chile of course needs to be ruled out categorically. Except as a D5+6 race.

Ah, if we do the pre Tour down under criterium again, the one called down under classic=cat 1 please. It's a criterium.

btw for purely egoistical reasons (back on the 7th) I support noPiks NZL proposal. And why not a nice little chinese prep race on the 7th?

NZ Tour surely a good alternative in January but maybe more at the beginning of the month.
A 4-5 days tour for the first january week should be fine too.

Tour Down Under 18.-23. at 10,15,18,21,23 h ?

Sachsen Pavés 25.-28. at 9,14,18,20,22 h ?

It's no criterium in the sense of how you explained it some days ago in a neighbour thread, Roby. It's just a non-UCI-sanctioned raced. The winner isn't pre-defined.

And you think, you just don't like South America :P

EDIT: ah, it was Tour du Faso that runs over gravel roads partly.
Sachsen Pavés 25.-28. at 9,14,18,20,22 h ?
It' one or two days longer this time. See  viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1022

Yeah, no pre determined winner at the down under classic, but still a criterium. Not all have predetermined winners after all... and it deserves cat 1!

I think there are two half-stages the 5th day ???
then 24.-28.

Yes, Roby, agree with cat 1. Don't agree with criterium = worthless. Some races simply have a boring city circuit. Even the Giro had one in 2009, when Lance got so frightened that he convinced the peloton not to contest it really. Anyway, racing through a town with narrow curves and bends isn't really what it comes out of it at RSF. But don't care.

0..0..0..0...0...0...0%...0%...0.... ohhh wake up Gala! So i'm now on the way to make Tour de Langkawi as you can hear *schnarch*. Even if its not very interesting. Its Cat. 2.HC so quite important, you can do what you want with it. But it will take some time.

For TDU, I see there are only 7 riders per team. How do we deal with that, was any decision made on that topic ?
