My suggestions: 9, 14, 17/18, 20, 22/23/24

I tend to 18 and 24 where I suggested two or more possibilities.

So we have morning, afternoon, evening, late evening and night covered.

i guess he meant
9
14
17/18
20
22/23/24

so he proposes 5 times, not 6...

The Tour des Pavés is now ready. I kept it similar to last year with five stages, each named and designed for a Pavé hero of the previous classic season.

Stage 1 - Souvenir Sebastian Erixon
A quite simple 20km circuit with only a short pavé section, which has to be ridden 10 times. Sebastian Erixon (TEAM LAUSITZ), the dominator in the evenings, would easily win that, like he did so many times this spring.

Stage 2 - Souvenir Nicolas DeWitt
Almost completely flat, but with lots of pavé sections, just like Paris - Roubaix. Named after one of the winners of that race from Deuseburger, one of this year's strongest teams on pavé.

Stage 3 - Souvenir Leonardo Alighieri
Number three is quite hilly, the perfect terrain for riders like Leonardo Alighieri (), the surprise winner of this year's morning edition of Paris - Roubaix and the one who stopped Ernesto Sabato from getting immortal by taking away his victory in Roubaix.
Image

Stage 4 - Souvenir Stefan Küng
Quite easy in the beginning, but with a difficult finish with a small circuit. The stage is named after Stefan Küng (Team FL), winner of Het Blad and always with good results at hilly pave races.

Stage 5 - Souvenir Miguel Otero
Named after the opponents-eating monster from Team Alkworld, who won Het Blad, helped Ernesto Sabato win a lot, won the Sachsen Pavés, the last Tour des Pavés and the Tour de Wallonie. It's a race that Otero would love. Hilly and long hard pavé sections.

The Tour des Pavés is 100% fantasy. To have decent weather in January, it's located in Mexico instead of Belgium like last year.

So you want the paves tour in the same time on Besseges ? Strange. Morever La Tropicale isn't a big lost, and for the moment their website given't enough elements to draw it correctly

Here the "real calender" for January 2013. From the UCI site, so all Criteriums and other stuff is not in.

06.01.2013 06.01.2013 Copa América de Ciclismo BRA 1.2
11.01.2013 20.01.2013 Vuelta al Tachira en Bicicleta VEN 2.2
14.01.2013 20.01.2013 La Tropicale Amissa Bongo GAB 2.1
21.01.2013 27.01.2013 Tour de San Luis ARG 2.1
22.01.2013 27.01.2013 Santos Tour Down Under AUS
23.01.2013 27.01.2013 New Zealand Cycle Classic NZL 2.2
27.01.2013 27.01.2013 Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise FRA 1.1
30.01.2013 03.02.2013 Etoile de Bessèges FRA 2.1
31.01.2013 10.02.2013 Vuelta Ciclista de Chile CHI 2.2

Of the stage races: We IMO clearly don't need the stuff in New Zealand, Tachira (too long and usually booring profiles) and Chile. Amissa Bongo... would be parallel to pavé, if the sprinters really feel we need it, why not.... but don't see a real need for it.

Anyway, if leso says San Luis is needed or ok or whatever, I'll start designing. Info is on on their site.

Ah and about times:
Down Under should be 5 I guess. San Luis being parallel and less important could do with only 4 is my guess.

is having 1 parallel tour sooo much different from having 2,3 parallel tours to the dec-tour?

It's actually a 6 day tour (Down Under) and a 7 day tour (San Luis) not 7+8! Down Under starts the 22, their site just shows 20-27 because on the 20 there is that criterium, the so called Down Under classic.

2 stage races: It worked last year, ah, eh, this year of course: The participation for San Luis-Down Under in January 12?
10: 11-11
15: 11-16
18: 21-18

That's the "problem" times, later in the evening all seems ok anyway. Ah, and Tachira overlapped with Down Under last year too (but not with San Luis), so..

But you're the guy with the numbers, if there are less users around than a year ago it might be critical, I don't know and for once don't feel the urge to go and calculate.
And as I said, maybe 4 editions would be enough for the lesser one. San Luis in this case. But as I said, you're the numbers guy. Ah, btw, couldn't help but notice that it wasn't the afternoon that had the worst participation in January 12!

Down Under 22-27.01
San Luis 21-27.01

San Luis: I put 8 riders, re-reading the January 12 topic this seems what it was then

Image

Stage 1, flat, 2x 5, nothing more. Mintact km 128. Stage is officially 164, I lost 5 km somewhere on the way. Bah.

Image
Stage 2: flat again, max 4 even this time. Mintact 140

Image

HC: mintact from 130. Again I miss 12 km, no clue why, following the video losing it where I miss those 12 km is basically impossible... bah. Unless they take a roughly 12km lap around there, which is possible and would make sense. Will check and correct the whole thing later, but anyway, from the cat 1 to the end nothing changes, would be before that.

Rest later

As far as I can see the TDU profile is not perfect. Especially the 2 willunga hills from stage 5 !

Great innovation this automatic design... but has to be used with caution :?

Hunsrueck's willunga hill : 2/6/8/6/5
SM Team's willunga hill : 2/3/8/7/6

Put that one as middle mountain.

Image

Last climb changed from last year, and from what is written on their site. The 2 km at 14,5% and 15,5% couldn't be found, so downgraded to whatever the ape found.

Image
flat, no 5 or 6 whatsoever.

Not checking stage 3 for the missing km again, don't care enough, so finished.

Down Under and San Luis on !
Cat 4 for Down Under could be an alternative. RockStar inc. was for it, but I am indecisive.
