Re: March 2013

Re: March 2013
Ehm World Championships on the 25th it seems. Wouldn't it be time to start choosing the countries soon?

Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Re: March 2013
Real Ronde van Vlaanderen has 8 riders per team, why in rsf there are 9 riders teams?

Re: March 2013
cause we have one legged riders, some other "helping and loosing power" system than in RL...then such things like 1 rider leading the peloton for 100 km alone like at some GT-Flatstages isn't possible here...then stuff like attacking multiple times to get away or get rid of opponents isn't possible without wasting any chance against others isn't possible......and to compare that...we have usually 1 rider more...mainly for Grand Tours and Big One Day Races
ok, not all facts on topic...but at least some of them

Na, in real life in GTs and most of the pro tour races there usually 9 riders per team(hope i am not wrong) so thats fine, but in this race there are only 8 allowed.Rockstar Inc wrote:cause we have one legged riders, some other "helping and loosing power" system than in RL...and to compare that...we have usually 1 rider more...mainly for Grand Tours and Big One Day Races

Edit: Ok i was wrong, in stage races there 9 riders per team, in one day races 8 per team.

Re: March 2013
i edited 1,2 more facts...
in RL the number of riders is decreased for safety reasons...also some things we luckily don't need to care about

Re: March 2013
Well in my opinion 8 rider per team is better for one day races. In stage races you need to control for few stages, you have different types of stages so you need more riders. But in one day races? Just one day to ride, no need of 9 ridersRockstar Inc wrote:i edited 1,2 more facts...

Re: March 2013
In real life it's..
9 for GTs
All other important races usually have 8.
UCI allowed maximum is 10, which happens sometimes too.

Re: March 2013
But since you didn't know that most races in RL are ridden with 8 riders I guess the disappointment won't be too big.

Re: March 2013
Thats true, I don't care at all actually, I was counting for some flame war. But I always thought that this game is trying to "return what is best in cycling"/copy the real cycling(no idea how to say it), you know, for me it's only game like thousands others, but I always thought the biggest part of the rsf's community are the cycling freaks who wants to make a great cycling simulator. So the information that we don't have proper amount of riders per team in races was at least big surprise.Robyklebt wrote:But since you didn't know that most races in RL are ridden with 8 riders I guess the disappointment won't be too big.
