Re: Sprint 17/18, redo the sprint system
Even, though it is off topic, but I can't just keep quiet on min-tact issues. When, once upon a time, it was implemented, the anticipated should-be average was 50 km min tact. I'm probably one of very few teams left that support this value. So yes, the min tact is fucked up, but it is not too long,...

Re: December Tour 2017: Second round vote
No need to overvote. We have a first, we have a second, there were no draws. Take the result as is. Ethiopia advanced to the final round for a reason. If you want to argument that by having 4 votes, many couldn't seperate their prefered tour from the others, then there had to be 4 tours in the final...
Re: Andes 21h
You cannot punish bad tactics, I understand that. In many cases, it's just money hunting and thus a case of personal view point. The difference here is that the true reason was admitted. If you punish that, it will probably the last time any team admits that. Don't now if the result "Not allowed, bu...

Re: Sprint 17/18, redo the sprint system
Anyway, let's continue here: Then another problem of the sprint right now is that the sprinters get slower after every 50 meters. Which isn't all that realistic either. So either an automatic 90-95-100% intensity, a percentage that guarantees that in 0 wind conditions they keep their speed for 150 ...
Re: Andes 21h
Well, there is a part in the rules that states: - unrealistic arrangements are not allowed - every manager must do the best for his team . Separation of private and RSF is required Especially the first rule allows for a widespreat interpretation in combination with the latter point. Probably not fit...

Looks like none of them has the intention to fight for GC, so naturally, this one shifts towards the time trailers.

Re: Nationenkomitee / Nations Committee
May I ask why Fuma Monou got stripped of his nation (Japan) ? Despite citing why I think it's ok, I nevertheless would like the question above being answered, for I cannot explain what brought up suspision in first place. Last Name: Monou Example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akiko_Mon%C5%8D Other ...

Re: Evening Andes 2017 (21 h)
Agree for most part, but would have the following adjustments. On GC, Salazar is on the same level as Anton to me, as his team lacks any >63 mountain helper, which will leave him alone often, and he has a weal downhill value, which hewill suffer from in this tour. Hence, I'd leave *** unoccupied. Th...

Re: Evening Andes 2017 (21 h)
I'll start here, too, probably, with this lineup: Chris Bonigton Calvin de Haan Shayne Gostisbehere Lauri Markkanen Andrei Mironov Shane Ray Seishiro Sakurazuka Kamui Shiro Subaru Sumeragi The lineup is slightly below 375k, which is neccessary due to lack of amibiton. As I already know to miss a min...

Re: Sprint 17/18, redo the sprint system
My opinion to the redo from scratch: Most likely, it's better to not do that. Errors happen when programming. That's only human, and cannot be prevented completely. Redoing it from scratch likely will lead to new bugs, which then are completely unknown and have to be found anew, while those occuring...

Re: Sprint 17/18, redo the sprint system
I'd get to the same conclusion, most writers seem to see the actual system as a suitable base. But some proposals contain mayor adjustments and additional features, probably having a mayor impact, requiring further balancing adjustments in the underlying calculations or aditional input options.

Re: Sprint 17/18, redo the sprint system
Oh, and my thouht about the old sprint: I like the new one better. Simply, and quite only, because there's more to play and it's not just a number's game, which we have in mountain sprints already. And the fit for small group sprints: Don't think we have to worry too much about that. That came to a ...

Re: Sprint 17/18, redo the sprint system
Well, hope that doesn't go for highjacking your thread, but your idea to me sounds like something of a transition from a (nonexistent, and probably never materialising) positioning system into the sprint. You got a point here, a train does not come out of nowhere at 500m or 1km, but has to be prepar...

Re: October 2017
My feeling is 70% of NC never were different, even in times with a lot more players.
Reducing NM's to the top 10 nations (in terms of qualified riders) would be an option, or witchever other number might be appropriate, would be ok in my mind. Yet, is waisting a day for that worth it?

Agreed. And I am opposed to energy bonuses as well. WC makes sence because you cannot control your own riders, which is not the case for NC.Pokemon Club wrote:I am for no CN at all. It is a waste

Re: December Tour 2017: Rules, discussions, criticisms!
To speak of that British Isles Voyage:
With the hightest mountain being Ben Nevis topping out on 1345m, which ground will exactly support the wheels on those 4 stages that exceed the 1500m mark? Did you mix up feet with meters?

Earlier versions of the Tour de Pavé had cobble ITT's. Dunno if there's data available for review. Not helpful for 0 energy discussion, because they were short.

Jeder Fahrer hat einen internen Kopfsteinpflaster1ert, der nicht trainiert werden kann und im Spiel nicht angezeigt wird. Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2017
Good work, looks like a great tour. Especially, I like the idea to include Galapagos in half stages, as the islands simply don't allow a full stage. Remember to have looked at the islands more than once, but never found a stage I liked. Well done. Man, that first timetrail looks crazy. Day 2 may be ...

Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2017
I can add a points as well: In order to design very tough stages, it is often inevitable to use dirt roads. As far as I remember, it was consented to simply use them as if they were asphaltic, unless for special cases that warrent further highlighting (for example the "Death Road"), where light pavé...
