Re: To do for newcomers (for the Falcor newcomer wave)

Some first changes to React and SQL script are ready, so how about 3 additional times for Div 6+ races tomorrow (or even one today)? From my perspective this should be done only from the afternoon when I'm home to deal with potential bugs. Edit: you can see the changes of 3.11.0 already in the test ...

Re: To do for newcomers (for the Falcor newcomer wave)

-Races with division restrictions. IMO no need to then use it every day, but offer the newcomers their own editions, D6 only every 2 or so days. Maybe some days D5-6 too? They can profit from in race help too. IMO most important. I prepared something for that, options are now: 1 to 8 (8 is theoreti...

One more thought: we could create a poll to learn more about the new teams. It would be some kind of more structured communication with them.
Do it!
Better somebody else does it, I'll rather use my time for implementation of Div 6 races :)

Re: Marketing of the game

Dear new players, welcome to cycling4freaks! We're happy about all the new registrations for the game recently. Nevertheless, as this has been a small not profit game led by the community itself, we ask you to be patient if there are any problems in the beginning. For questions about the game, we r...

Maybe a little news message in the C4F would be good that they should read the manual, use the general chat and the forum for questions.
Can you prepare a message (little time today only)? I can put it online

Re: Marketing of the game

That all came as kind of a suprise :D . Such a change of situation calls for a reprioritization of development (for which time sill still be rare unfortunately). Can someone open a thread to collect the most urgent changes (e.g. Div 6 races, welcome message, etc.). Then I can think about those chang...

Re: Itzulia Basque Country 15h - Abuse of admin rights

Some thoughts on those two topics ... Taking out teams from a race: as written by others above, it has happened quite a few times over the years. But it's still pretty rare, maybe around once per year? if there's a good and credible reason or an obvious mistake (e.g. Hansa choosing the wrong time or...

Re: April 2026

If we look at MSR I don't think 5 editions are needed for monuments It's a tough one. If it works out like for MSR with 21/22 teams it's great. But if we have fields split, it's total crap. That's why I'd go for 5 editions. But it's a close call, so I can be convinced to stay with 4 editions. or yo...

Re: FPC Decision: Taka’s Behaviour (Multiple Reports Combined)

That's something the owners of the game have to think about. Schappy not happy was an obvious result of this decision. Can't tell if it's good or bad as I don't know what happened behind the curtains. I still think Hoef's words are true. Btw. the "but players leave the game" argument is one that ha...

You have 3:30min time for thinking, from XX:30:00 (switching disabled) until XX:33:30 (race starts)

Re: MSR

Agree that it needs a fix for next year. Maybe more 5-7 than 6-7 if it can be backed by the information we have. Would in any case shift the battle from pure sprinters vs anybody else to really strong hill sprinters vs classics Last real race ending with some kind of bunch sprint was 2021, so I gue...

Re: MSR

Is that the one? https://climbfinder.com/de/anstiege/capo-berta-diano-marina That would indeed be a 6-7. Although I would really like to have that tomorrow, I agree that we shouldn't change it now, after some prepared for a year with the supposably wrong profile in mind. But for the future, I'm cert...

Question about positioning, will you use that for energy consumption in addition of helpers ?
Too early to take decisions about that, positioning will only come in the later step.

And what was the last discussion about 'incline'?? Up and down? Or incline meant only for up?
Incline can be positive or negative, >= 4% only means positive, i.e. on climbs with 4% or more.

And another small one: It would be good to be able to push races from 'planned' back into 'draft'. I think I also included that in the latest version. Nice. Thanks. Tested and it works. I was missing the edit button first, but I guess will get used to clicking on the race title instead. Gewohnheits...

Apart from the user friendliness mentioned by Roby, one feature that is really missing compared to the old editor is: - Reverse Copy/Paste - Reverse Circuit It's very relevant for real races who do all sorts of crazy circuits... Is there any error shown?
And it really can be different depending on the browser you use. The file is parsed in the front end directly, maybe there's an error shown in the console? That could help making the code more robust.
